Lead Tutor

Steven is a former teacher for elementary through middle school and has taught RSP class. Graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BSBA in Business Management, and has a Master's in Education: Educational Leadership. He decided to tutor full time because it offers a better opportunity to educate kids instead of in an over-crowded classroom environment. Steven loves to read and try new culinary dishes whenever possible. He grew up on the Monterey Peninsula, Seaside in particular. Steven worked at the family businesses before eventually starting a career in education.

Marlyn Romero brings warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to student success. With degrees in English, General Education, and Humanities with a Legal Studies concentration, she supports learners from kindergarten through college. Her tutoring spans literacy, foundational math, and academic writing, with a special focus on English language learners. Marlyn’s experience includes work with the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District and college-level writing support, including essays and research papers. Her research on environmental justice in Monterey County reflects her strengths in critical thinking and creative expression. Marlyn fosters a welcoming, confidence-building environment where students thrive academically and personally.
